Silhouette Project Artist Statement

My project is made from my silhouette. As you can see, the galaxy sort of theme is shown throughout the whole project along with animal figures and flowers. To make this project, I used Photoshop. Using Chrome, I searched up images that I was thinking about putting into this image. I downloaded many images of flowers, galaxy animals and galaxy backgrounds. I also used a picture taken of me in class to create the silhouette. Once the silhouette was in place, I began to insert the downloaded images one by one, and editing them until I thought that they were perfectly fit for the project. I used the magnet lasso tool very often to cut out the backgrounds and make these images look they all fit together properly. The main idea of this piece is to show my love for galaxies, animals and flowers. From admiring this art piece I want others to appreciate animals, galaxies, flowers and just nature in general. Overall I enjoyed working on this project. I learned much more about the tools of Photoshop and am very pleased with the turnout of this project.
